As a variation of the Adult Contemporary format, Hot A/C will play more current, upbeat music than mainstream A/C. As a result, Hot A/C will skew slightly younger with a core audience of 25-44. Stations may have heavier personality involvement or a high profile morning show. Hot A/C may also be referred to as Adult CHR.
